Data collection on my website

On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to me. This can be, for example, data that you enter in a contact form.

Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the responsible
supervisory authority.
What data is processed when I visit my website?
In the following, I will inform you about which data is collected when you visit my website, for which purposes it is processed, on which legal basis the data processing takes place, which options you have to control the collection and processing of the data yourself and when the data is deleted.
A. Log files
Data collected:
When you visit my websites, the following data is automatically transmitted by your browser:
Your IP – address
The website you are coming from,
Web pages that you call up via our site
The pages you click on, and
Time of the page view
Name of your internet service provider
Your browser type and version
The operating system of your terminal device
the date and duration of your visit.
Purpose of the data processing:
The temporary storage of this data is necessary to enable the delivery of the website to your computer and to ensure the functionality of the website. With the help of this data, I also gain statistical insights into how my website is used. In addition, I collect the data in order to be able to trace and prevent unauthorised access to the web server and misuse of the web pages and to secure the information technology systems.
Legal basis:
I temporarily store this data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO). My legitimate interest is to achieve the purposes described above.
Storage period and control options:
Data is deleted when it is no longer necessary to achieve the purposes. Log files are deleted after 90 days at the latest.
B. General information on cookies and targeting technologies.
Data collected:
When you visit my website, so-called cookies are set. These are small text files that are stored on your terminal device. Cookies usually contain a characteristic string of characters, the so-called cookieID, with which your browser can be identified when you visit my website again.
In addition, I use so-called tags, which are small code elements that help me measure the behaviour of my users and the success of advertising activities.
Depending on the type of cookies or tags, different data are collected and processed pseudonymously.
I use both my own cookies and cookies from other providers (third-party cookies). The third-party cookies are detailed below in paragraph 2 C.
Purposes of data processing:
Technically necessary cookies enable the technical functioning of the website. Some functions of my websites cannot be offered without the use of the cookies.
Functionality cookies are used to make my websites more user-friendly and to guarantee certain functionalities, e.g. the cross-page shopping basket display, in which you can see how many items are currently in your shopping basket, and the storage of your login data, so that they can access the data and settings you have already entered when you return to the site.
Analytic cookies and tags allow me to generate aggregate statistics, such as the number of views, which areas of the web pages are viewed most frequently, and information about locations and about the length of the average stay on the web page. This allows me to improve the quality of my web pages and content.
Advertising cookies and retargeting technologies allow me to provide you with targeted offers and information. This allows me to make my website more interesting to you and to target you with personalised, interest-based advertising on other websites.
Legal basis:
I use technically necessary cookies and functionality cookies on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO). My legitimate interest is to ensure the functioning of my website and its optimal usability.
I use analytics cookies and advertising cookies as well as tags and retargeting technologies on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO, recital 47). My legitimate interest is to tailor my website optimally to the interests of my customers.
Duration of storage and control options:
Some of the cookies I use are automatically deleted again after closing the browser (so-called session cookies), others remain permanently on your terminal device and enable me to recognise your browser again (so-called persistent cookies)
You have full control over the use of cookies and can delete cookies in your browser, disable cookies altogether or selectively accept certain cookies. Please use the help functions of your browser to learn how to change these settings. This may limit the functionality of my website.
C.Third-party cookie and tracking technologies used
Facebook:
Facebook Pixel and Facebook Custom Audience (Remarketing)
Data collected:
On my website I use the so-called “Facebook Pixel” of the company “Facebook” (Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland). The Facebook pixel allows me to classify visitors to my website into specific target groups in order to show you corresponding advertisements (“Ads”) on Facebook. The data collected (e.g. IP addresses, information on the web browser, the location of the website, buttons clicked on, pixel IDs if applicable and other characteristics) are not visible to me myself, but can only be used in the context of displaying certain advertisements. So-called cookies are also set as part of the use of the Facebook pixel code.
If you have a Facebook account and are logged in, your visit to this website will be assigned to your Facebook user account.
In some cases, I also use the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” of the company “Facebook”. This allows users of the website to be shown interest-based advertisements (“Facebook ads”) when visiting Facebook or other websites that also use this procedure. I am pursuing the interest of showing you advertisements that correspond to your interests in order to make my website more interesting for you.
In order to exchange the respective data, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Facebook server. I have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Facebook through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to my state of knowledge: Through the integration of Facebook Custom Audiences, Facebook receives the information that you have called up the corresponding web page of my website or clicked on an advertisement of mine. If you are registered with a “Facebook” service, “Facebook” can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider will find out and store your IP address and other identifying features.
If you have consented to this, we may pass on your telephone number or email address to “Facebook” in order to be able to show you advertisements that correspond to your interests.
- You can find out how the Facebook pixel is used for advertising campaigns at https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/facebook-ads-pixel.
- You can find more information about Facebook’s data policy at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
- For more information on data processing by Facebook, please visit https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.
Purposes of data processing:
I use these features to provide you with advertising offers that match your interests.
Legal basis:
I process your data because you have consented to this or I have a legitimate interest in processing the data, Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a. and f DS-GVO.
Storage period and control options:
I store your data as long as I need it for the respective purpose (display of interest-based advertising), or you have not objected to the storage of your data or revoked your consent.
- Disabling the Facebook Custom Audiences feature is possible for logged-in users at https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#_.
- You can change your Facebook ad settings at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen, as long as you are logged into Facebook.
Google:
Data collected:
Google Analytics: On my websites I use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics sets cookies on your terminal device, which make it possible to evaluate your use of my website. For this purpose, Google collects data to uniquely identify your browser, information about when and how often you visited my website, how long you stayed on my website and how you interacted with my website.
(you can find more information about this here [http://www.google.de/policies/technologies/types/]).
Google Remarketing and Double Click: I use Google Remarketing and Google Double Click. This technology sets cookies that evaluate how you use my website and allow your browser to be recognised when you visit websites that are part of the Google advertising network. For this purpose, the Google Analytics tracking code uses so-called DoubleClick cookies in addition to the Google Analytics cookies. These collect data on which third-party websites in the Google Display Network you have visited and which advertisements you have clicked on. In addition, data from first-party cookies (e.g. Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (e.g. Google cookie for display preferences) are linked. This allows me to evaluate the display of advertisements and your interaction with these advertisements.
Google AdWords Conversion Tracking: I use Google AdWords Conversion Tracking. With this technology, cookies are set when you interact with one of my ads, e.g. click on it. The cookies are used to analyse what happens after you interact with an ad, e.g. whether you bought my product, accessed the ad from a mobile phone, downloaded our app or signed up for a newsletter.
Google Tag Manager: Google Tag Manager is a solution with which I can manage so-called website tags via an interface (and thus, for example, integrate Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into my online offer). The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal data. With regard to the processing of personal data, please refer to the information on the respective Google services. You can access the usage guidelines of the Google Tag Manager here: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html
Google reCAPTCHA: I use Google’s reCAPTCHA service for some forms. Google collects certain data to determine whether a human or a machine is accessing my website, e.g. your IP address, your screen and window resolution, the language set in your browser, the time zone in which you are located, the user agent of the browser and installed browser plug-ins.
Purposes of data processing:
Google Analytics: On my behalf, Google uses the data collected via Google Analytics to evaluate the use of my website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet usage.
Google Remarketing and Double Click: I use this technology to serve you interest-based ads on other websites in the Google advertising network. The ads relate to content that you have previously viewed on my website.
Google AdWords Conversion Tracking: I use this technology to improve my offers
Google Tag Manager: I use this service to create, serve and manage tags on my website
Google reCAPTCHA: I use this service to distinguish whether an input in one of my web forms is made by a human or abusively automated/machine, and thus to protect my technical systems.
YouTube: I use YouTube to embed product videos on my website.
Legal basis:
I use the Google products described if you have consented to them. I ask for your consent when you visit my website via the cookie banner at the bottom of the webpage.
Google reCAPTCHA I use on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO). My legitimate interest is to prevent the misuse of my forms and to protect my technical systems.
Storage duration and control options:
Data collected through Google features is stored and deleted periodically.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser.
You can also prevent the collection of data and the processing of data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on available at the following link [https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de]
Google Dynamic Remarketing and Double Click as well as Google AdWords Conversion Tracking: You can object to the storage of cookies and the associated data processing by deactivating personalised advertising in your advertising settings [http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/html/opt-out.html]. You can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers via the deactivation website of the network advertising initiative [http://optout.networkadvertising.org/#/]. Alternatively, you can disable DoubleClick cookies by installing a browser plug-in [https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/plugin?hl=de].
This may limit the functionality of my websites. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy. [LINK: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/].
Data collected:
I use social plugins from social networks
- Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
- Instagram, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
- Twitter, which is operated by Twitter Inc, 795 Folsom St, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Twitter”).
When you call up a website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of the respective social network. Through this integration, the social network receives data about which website you have accessed, even if you do not have a user profile or are not currently logged in. If you are logged in, Facebook can assign the visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, the corresponding information is transmitted to the social network and stored there. Your IP address is stored in shortened form. The data determined is transmitted by your browser directly to a server of the social network in the USA and stored there.
Use of Facebook Social Plugins
This online offer uses social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are recognisable by one of the Facebook logos (white “f” on a blue tile or a “thumbs up” sign) or are marked with the addition “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and appearance of Facebook social plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When a user calls up a website of this online offer that contains such a plugin, his browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to the user’s browser and integrated into the website by the browser.
The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and therefore informs users according to their level of knowledge: By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that a user has called up the corresponding page of the online offering.
If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his or her Facebook account. If a user interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking the Like button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out and store his or her IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymised IP address is stored in Germany.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the relevant rights and setting options for protecting the privacy of users, can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www. facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about him or her via this online offer and link it to his or her membership data stored on Facebook, he or she must log out of Facebook before visiting the website and delete the corresponding Facebook cookies. It is also possible to block Facebook social plugins with browser add-ons, for example with the “Facebook Blocker”.
Using the Twitter buttons
This online offer uses the buttons of the Twitter service. These buttons (e.g. “Tweet” or “Follow”) are offered by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
When a user calls up a web page of this website that contains such a button, his/her browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of Twitter. The content of the Twitter buttons is transmitted by Twitter directly to the user’s browser. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Twitter collects with the help of this plugin and informs users according to its state of knowledge. According to this, only the IP address of the user and the URL of the respective website are transmitted when the button is used, but not for any other purposes than the display of the button. Further information on this can be found in Twitter’s privacy policy at http://twitter.com/privacy.
Use of Pinterest buttons
This offer uses the buttons (“Pin It”) of the Pinterest service, http://pinterest.com. With the help of the buttons, it is possible for users to share the provider’s articles on their “Pinterest boards”.
When a user calls up a website that contains a “Pin It” button, his browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of Pinterest. The content of the “Pin It” button is transmitted by Pinterest directly to the user’s browser. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Pinterest collects with the help of the “Pin It” button and informs the users according to its state of knowledge. According to this, only the user’s IP address and the URL of the respective website are transmitted, but only used for the purposes of displaying the “Pin It” button and sharing the content. Further information
Purposes of data processing:
The social plugins allow you to share content from the websites on social networks.
Legal basis:
I use social plugins if you have consented to them. I obtain your consent when you visit my website via the cookie banner at the bottom of the webpage.
Save duration and control options:
You can prevent the collection and processing of data by the social networks by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser.
If you do not want the social networks to directly assign the data collected via my website to your user profile, you must log out before visiting my website. For more information, please see the privacy notices of Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy], Twitter [https://twitter.com/privacy].
WordPress
Data collected:
For certain web presences I use the open-source content management system “WordPress” as well as plugins. Plugins are function-related extensions of the “WordPress” software. The use of these plugins may involve the processing of personal data, such as the IP address of your connection.
In some cases, cookie and tracking technologies from third-party providers are used. In this case, the principles described above and II. B. described above apply without restriction.
Purposes of data processing:
I use plugins in particular for the following purposes:
- To protect against abusive comments (“spam”)
- To find broken links
- To improve the loading speed of our mobile websites
- To the extent that plugins for third-party cookie and tracking technologies are used, the description of purposes given under B. applies.
Legal basis:
I use WordPress and the respective plugins used on the basis of legitimate interest. My legitimate interest is to achieve the purposes described above
I use third-party cookie and tracking technologies as part of a plugin if you have consented to them. You can withdraw your consent at any time in accordance with the procedures described above.
Storage duration and control options:
I will store your data for as long as I need it for the specific processing purpose.
You can prevent the collection and processing of data by social networks by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser.
If you do not want the social networks to assign the data collected via my websites directly to your user profile, you must log out before visiting my website.

3.2. newsletter
Data collected:
I collect and process the data you provide, such as your name and email address, when you subscribe to my newsletter.
Newsletters that include technology from AWeber use tracking technologies. These technologies are used to collect data about whether my emails are opened and what links you click on.
Purposes of data processing:
I process the data in order to send you the newsletter.
I use the data collected when using AWeber to find out which topics are of interest to you. I then use this information to improve the emails I send you and the services I provide, and to combine it with any tracking or profiling information I already have.

I work according to the double opt-in principle, i.e. if you order a themed newsletter on my website, I will send you a confirmation e-mail with a registration link. Only when you click on this link, you are on my newsletter list.
AWeber I use with your consent.
If I have received your email address in connection with the sale of a product, I will use it to send you information about similar products on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 f DSGVO). My legitimate interest is to contact you directly for advertising purposes.

A. Withdrawal of consent
You can revoke any consent you may have given for the processing of your personal data at any time with effect for the future. Please note that the revocation has no effect on the lawfulness of the previous data processing and that it does not extend to data processing for which there is a legal ground for permission and which may therefore also be processed without your consent.

In addition, according to Articles 15 to 21 and 77 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you are entitled to the following data subject rights if the legal requirements are met:

Objection to data processing:
You have the possibility to object to data processing for direct marketing purposes at any time. In addition, you can object at any time to data processing based on a legitimate interest if there are special reasons, Art. 21 DSGVO.
Data portability:
You have the right to receive the data that you have provided to us and that I process on the basis of your consent or for the performance of a contract, in a commonly used, machine-readable format, and to request, where technically feasible, direct transfer of this data to third parties, Art. 20 DSGVO.
